About
The Veuve Clicquot of leadership development meets the salt and vinegar chips of keeping it real.
Who I work with:
I’m here to help senior leaders and execs deliver big strategies, lead thriving teams, and build leadership they’re proud of - without the chaos, the shoulds, or the burnout.
They’re smart and capable. But often stuck.
They’ve led through change, juggled priorities, delivered results under pressure.
And now, maybe the expectations are bigger. The stakes have gotten higher.
Sometimes they’re frustrated with their team.
Often, they’re too hard on themselves.
They want to lead well - but it’s really tough out there.
They need someone in their corner who gets it.
What you’ll get with me:
I bring commercial smarts, emotional intelligence, and just enough cheek to keep it real.
I’m not here to sugar-coat, and I’m not afraid of the hard stuff. I ask the questions others won’t. I see what’s not being said. And I bring the insight, tools, and support to get you to where you want to be.
With me, you get:
Strategic clarity that cuts through the noise
Conversations that shift thinking and get results
Teams that stop spinning and start delivering
Accountability, humour, and the occasional well-placed eyebrow raise
Backing that doesn’t flinch when things get messy
This isn’t coaching that sits on the sidelines. I’m in it with you - with plenty of heart, and a few good laughs along the way.
What changes when we work together:
Here’s what shifts:
Leaders stop managing tasks and start driving outcomes - with clarity, courage, and strategic intent
Teams lift their game - trust deepens, collaboration improves, and delivery sharpens
Conversations become faster, braver, and more focused - decisions get made, and energy gets freed up
Confidence grows across the business - leaders step up, risks are shared, and execution improves
Momentum kicks in. People lift their heads and remember what they love about their work
Some recent wins
Took 56 GMs in a multinational from unaware to energised in 8 months - lifting trust, clarity and capability so they could deliver on their new strategy
Supported a newly formed executive team to align fast, communicate better, ditch their excuses, and deliver ahead of plan
Helped mid-level leaders shift from ‘safe operators’ to bold, strategic thinkers, ready for bigger roles
Lifted engagement, trust, and retention while rolling out major transformation
I’ve helped hundreds of leaders lead better, and I love seeing smart people do their best work with more clarity, confidence, and calm.
I understand what you’re up against: high expectations, shifting dynamics, and the pressure to hold it all together.
You don’t need fixing. You’re not doing it wrong. But you might be ready for something different.
If that sounds like you - let’s start with a conversation.
Things you should know about me
I grew up on a farm
and I’m just as comfortable at a boardroom table as I am in a shearing shed.
I’ve raised two amazing humans, travelled and lived a full life. One with mess, beauty, challenge, and a fair amount of grit. I’ve led teams, missed deadlines, made good calls (and some shockers), cried in toilets, and learned to back myself.
I don’t do polished perfection. I do real conversations, and work that makes a difference.
Turns out, I needed coaching too.
When I was competing in the New Zealand fly fishing team, my results were inconsistent - some days I nailed it, other days... not so much. The skill was there, but I couldn’t always bring it when it mattered.
So I started working with a mental strength coach. It changed how I performed and how I thought. I showed up differently. Calmer. Clearer. More myself under pressure.
That experience stuck with me. It didn’t just shift how I fished, it changed how I made decisions and handled the heat.
I’m on a quiet crusade to bring joy and satisfaction back to leadership.
Which means I’m not here for the late nights, the self-sacrifice, or the quiet burnout that gets dressed up as “being committed. Yes, leadership is tough. Some days are long. The stakes are real. But that doesn’t mean it has to be joyless.
There’s deep satisfaction in doing good work - work that stretches you, matters to others, and lets you sleep well at night.
Not a fan of the word should.
It’s usually code for someone else’s expectations - or your own inner critic bleating from the sidelines. If you catch yourself saying ‘I should be doing this’, it’s a pretty good sign that you probably shouldn’t.
It’s amazing what shifts when you stop ‘shoulding’ - and start doing what actually works.
I make rebellion look responsible
Best practice? Sometimes it’s just old habits in fancy clothes. I’ve been around long enough to know what works - and what’s just noise dressed up as rigour. The way we led two years ago? It won’t cut it now.
Context matters. So does timing, and trust, and a bit of courage. I bring a full toolkit of proven frameworks. I stay sharp, stay current, and tailor everything I do. But I never do “off-the-shelf”.
My superpower may be backing a trailer, but I’ve got the qualifications too

It’s been a mix of grit, grace, and the occasional questionable decision.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
